Witley Gardens in all it’s glory.
It is the gardens that are the main attraction of this place. While the court has little chance of being rebuilt, the gardens are beautifully cared for and restored by English Heritage.
This garden is simply magical – mysterious paths, rhododendron tunnels, hidden benches. May is the moment when huge rhododendron bushes bloom like crazy. In the next posts I will show you how the castle terraces have been restored and how beautiful the fountains are.
